This is my take on the challenge. It's a card, I'm not very practiced with doing cards and am not completely happy with this, but hey, everyone had to start somewhere!!!

Challenge #1 - Kids Creations:
Presented by SBT50 October Guest DT member Becci :)
challenge requirements:
* base LO on the imagination of children
* eyelets and/or paperclips
* twine
* buttons, and
* Foam Tape
This LO is based on William 'cooking' with some left over icing from his birthday cake this year - I expected him to make a car or something like that - instead he comes out with a skull - black, read and white **sigh** Boys!!
yes, I'm addicted to making these bottle tops!!!
To meet the criteria I have:
* eyelets in the top tear where the hanging skeleton charm is tied, also on the bottom of the photo.
* the skeleton charm is hanging from twine
* buttons appear along the 'tear' at the top of the photo
and
* the "enter at own risk" sign is mounted on double layered foam tape
I wanted to add a spider and web in there somewhere, but the spider charm I was waiting on arrived a day late *doh*

challenge requirements:
* design and draw and create your own LO sketch
* include ribbon and
* at least 3 PP
here is my sketch:
when I was laying oit out I decided that I preferred the photo's on the other side of the LO so I flipped my sketch and came up with this:
To meet the criteria I have:
* ribbon tying the photo's together (red gingham) I've also got ric-rac on the corners - not sure if that's classed as a ribbon or not though...
and
* 3 patterned papers, the background, hand cut diecut and the backing sheet behind the photo's are all made from pp

challenge requirements:
* include 3 different handmade elements
* some gingham or checks

To meet the criteria I have:
* included more than 3 handmade elements. I've made the banner, bottle top, there's a handmade button, hand dyed doily and hand made journal blocks.
* there are some checks on the back of the playing cards, but to be sure I've included a black and white gingham brad
and
* the border of the page is machine stitched.

Challenge #4 - Better Than a Brought One:
Presented by the the talented SBT50 DT member Sue :)

* scrap a layout about something that you (or someone else) has made instead of buying it
* hidden journalling
* a patterned paper background
* mixed alpha title and
* at least 5 brads

When I was tossing up ideas I was discussing a few with Vicki (boss lady) and she said to go for this angle, it's a bit left of centre (like anything I do is straight forward hahah) and has been all cleared and still within the criteria *phew*
Yes - outside of the square - that's me :) As you can see my homemade gifts are Brattus Bricknellus (aka my children) they are definitely something I've had a hand in making that are better than a brought one... I mean really - who makes kids like these better than me LMAO
It may not look like it but I spent A WHOLE DAY on this LO... but I think it's worth it (this included getting the kids to pose for the piccies and processing too). I strongly suggest opening the clickable thumbnails above to see the full details of the LO
To meet the criteria I have:
* included hidden journalling,everything is hidden behind the present exterior
* there are PP on both the closed and opened backgrounds
* the title on the tag as well as in the centre LO both have mixed alpha's and
* I've used more than 5 brads. There's 1 on the tag and 4 on each subject info sheet - making 18 in total
I had a LOT of fun with this LO. There's still things I think I should have put on the info sheets (such as nicknames etc) but that always happens to me - wanting to change things once the LO's completed LOL next time - something like this could become an annual project yet ;)
