Peek-a-Boo!!!

I see YOU!!!! :) Thanks for popping by and seeing what I've done of late!!!

I've been doing a lot, but not much - probably doesn't make sense eh ;) A lot of little things are currently being worked on, painted, embossed, splashed, inked, distressed, manipulated etc etc etc... These little things will be put together in the coming weeks and HOPEFULLY make a good pile of work that I can then share with the world :) There's not much I enjoy more than sharing of late - I might actually be getting some confidence back inb myself again!! woohoo!!!

Anyhoos, for todays efforts I've a LO I completed for the SBT50 CC (which I forgot to advertise here - SHAME ON ME!!!!) I've 3 more in the works, and a couple of LO's for RES also on the go (not like me to have so many projects happening at once, I only hope I can get them all completed by their deadlines!!!!)

Ok, back to today's share.. Here it is!!!

1) Sarah's B&W with 1 Challenge!

challenge requirements:
* Use only Black, White and ONE other colour of your choice
* Obvious Layering
* Buttons
* Ink and/or paint

Our Peek-a-Boo Games...

...Are So Special :)

This LO is based around a photo I took when Dommy was 8 weeks old, he'd started playing peek-a-boo through the bars of his bassinet when he was 6 weeks old... I'd love waking up to see him watching me just like this :)

So to meet the Challenge Requirements:
* Black White and my colour is obviously BLUE

* There is layering with the fussy cutting (yeps, it's ALL hand cut!!!!)

* there is blue paint slapped around the cardstock ;)
and finally

* there are three buttons, 2 holding back the rolls around the tearing and the third is in the star of the WOW chippie title (I LOVE how this chippie take the paint of twinkling H2O's with only 1 coat!!) I've also highlighted the star and the circle that makes the word "so" with Dimensional Magic - I really love how it gives a polished feeling to the chippie when it has this metallic, shimmery and glittery paint on it! When the DM was halfway through drying I positioned the blue star button so it would adhere, yet still be a little raised to give some dimension.

Now I also had a go at making a card for the Opening Night Challenge.... I'm reasonably new at making cards, so it's nice to really stretch out and do something that's different ;)

Opening Night Challenge

challenge requirements:
* Must be smaller than 12x12
* Can be a card or a LO
* one of the colours you use must also be used as a word on you layout/card.

Blue Bundle of Joy

This was the first thing I've ever done with copics!!!! They were a lot easier to use and blend than what I had thought... I can feel a new addiction coming on mwahaha

Close up of the cute little copic coloured elephant :)

So that's it for another day... Don't forget to check with your LSS to get your hands on some SCRUMMY WOW chippie - there's new designs coming out on a regular basis and are soooooooooooooooooo cute, gorgeous and easy to use!!! Can't go past quality Aussie product ;) And of course if they don't have any in - ask them to order some in for you and the rest of their clientele!!! :)

And that other LO and sneaky I hinted at.....

Here they are :) I thought I'd better put it up before I forgot again (grrr baby brain!!! LOL) So here we go....

Vicki's Sketch Challenge

challenge requirements:
* Follow Sketch
* Have lots of journalling
* include at least 2 heart

Perfect Day

yes, a rare photo of me - oh and Nathan with hair!!! LOL So, can you see the hearts??? I'll give you a hint, they're in the form of word charms.... still can't see them???? I'll put you out of your misery...

Look down in the bottom right hand corner...
can you feel the 'love'???

And again nestled in amongst the flowers......

Yeah, it's not that much journalling compared to what I usually do, but it's more than the stock standard date and place ;) And boy was there more I could add if I hadn't ran out of space ROFL

*****

And Super sneaky peek at a secret whispers Lo ;)

Sssssshhhhhh they're super secret!!!!!

It's been a while....

yet again... LOL Slack yeah, but this time I do have a legitimate excuse - I had a mad rush panic about a rental inspection that was put off 3 times **sigh** All doneded now though ;) Oh and I also kinda had a disagreement with a bee and had a bad reaction to it.. I ended up having a couple of days totally out of things with coping with the reaction and then drugs given to me to combat the reaction - ahh the joys of being pregnant - means that a lot of 'easier' non-sedating drugs are off the prescription pad!!!! LOL All coming good now - and that means I've SCRAPPED!!!!

I thought I'd start with some monthly challenges - there's a few around at the moment, it seems everyone is coming out of their Christmas and New Year stupors and getting challenges up and running!!! I figure if I spend a week on finishing monthlies at SBT50, then their CC (which incidentally is on THIS MONDAY!!!! then I still have a week and a bit to finish the ones I've got planned for LSBS and RES!!! With February being a short month I might find myself needing to drop one lot of monthlies this time around, but so far my (evil) plan is working ;) mwahahhaa

So what do I have to show you???? I have 2 of the monthly SBT50 challenges photographed and ready to go (I've also got the secret squirrel stuff, I'll see if I can get a sneak peek happening tomorrow ;) ) I've completed a 3rd of the SBT50 challenges and should hopefully finish the 4th tomorrow ;) sooooo.... here we go!!!!

1) Sue's Technique Challenge

challenge requirements:
* Handmade Title
* Page Border
* Flourish

He's Our 'Lil Boxer

I ADORE this photo of Dommy :) he loves playing in the old packing boxes so when I saw the challenge was to create our own handmade title I thought it would be PERFECT!!!

The title is made from corrugated card, there are flourishes and the page border is simply cutting lightly around the cardboard that the page has been created on and tearing off the top layer to reveal the corrugated insides :)

Owl stick pin made by moi, chippie flourishes have simply need covered in a light layer of diamond stickles.. Think they're the most technical things on the page LOL

Journalling Reads : "Domdles, You love playing in the old packing boxes :) Your imagination allows you to be an astronaut or car racer a jack-in-the box or anything you can dream up :)"

We Dare You!

challenge requirements:
* Edge Punching or tearing
* Red is the Dominant Colour
* Fabric or Lace
* Include some shimmer (can include bling, metal, mirror etc)

You Light Up Our World

This is Dommy at the Carols by Candlelight last year. He kept stealing everyone's candles and then throwing them into the garden and finding them by their light ;)

1. Edge punch or tearing - Yep check out the red photo matting ;)
2. Dominant colour RED - Check :)
3. Fabric (can be lace / embellishment / any type of fabric) - Lace doily and strip are included
4. Something 'shimmery' (bling / metal / mirror) - Alpha's are glittery and there is some tinsel thread around the embie clusters - oh and bling brads in the top right hand corner :)

Journalling reads : "Dom, You loved the candles from Carols! You'd throw them in the garden and then race to find them"

Super Secret Sneaky Stuff....

Yeps - onto some super secret sneaky stuff at the moment - it's called Scrap Whispers and it's found on SBT50... I'm bad this time around though - I have been badly effected by what is commonly known as 'baby brain' Meaning that I forget things sooo easily it-s rather embarrassing!!!!

So - I'm late in getting my super sneaky layout completed - but it's going to be handed on tonight ;)

Oh and to combat baby brain I'm making myself a white board where I can put all my commitments and deadlines so I don't have to admit to being forgeful again - oh it's soooooooooo NOT like me to forget things like this!!! Anyone who knows me well knows my memory is usually water tight - I swear baby brain must get worse with each baby LOL It's a cumulative effect ;) hahaha

Sooo off to create - I might get some super sneaky sneaks uploaded too ;)
